After living with a True Native Moldovan practically for 5 years I have been givin honorary Moldovan status, and here is a list of Holidays I am commiting myself into celebrating this year along with the normal American/Christian Holidays.
Im forwarding this list to my boss not asking or requesting but demanding these days off to celebrate properly.
1 Jan - New Year's Day.
7-8 - Jan Moldovan Christmas.
8 Mar - International Women's Day.
20 Apr - Easter Monday (Orthodox).
1 May - Labour Day.
9 May - Victory and Commemoration Day.
27 Aug - Independence Day.
31 Aug - Limba Noastra (National Language Day).
American Above all, but Honorary Moldovan after at least a 6 pack!

Happy Boxing Day!
Boxing Day dates back to past centuries when it was the custom for the wealthy to give gifts to employees or to people in a lower social class, most especially to household servants and other service personnel. Boxing day is a public holiday now known as the Day of Goodwill. It is based on the tradition of giving gifts to the less fortunate members of society. Contemporary Boxing Day in many countries is for many a "shopping holiday" associated with post-Christmas sales and early starts to 'January sales'.

Pondering...
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He like enchiladas, because that's what He's getting!
I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.
It's funny that pirates were always going around searching for treasure, and they never realized that the real treasure was the fond memories they were creating.
If you define cowardice as running away at the first sign of danger, screaming and tripping and begging for mercy, then yes, Mr. Brave man, I guess I'm a coward.
Children need encouragement. If a kid gets an answer right, tell him it was a lucky guess. That way he develops a good, lucky feeling.
If you ever reach total enlightenment while drinking beer, I bet you could shoot beer out of you nose.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.
